Durst opens the Art Park "Luis Oberrauch"

In addition to the opening of the new production facility and a technical academy, Durst Digital Technology, Lienz opened an "Art Park" on the 29th of July, which has integrated parking spaces next to the production area. The park echoes the global structure of the company and represents all continents, where Australia, Asia, America and Europe are characterised by their typical landscapes and plants, Australian grass and Japanese Bonsai, are examples. Specially integrated into the park are 10 spaces where the pictures of artists printed with the Durst Rho technology can be exhibited.

The art park will be completed next year and will include a gallery complex built at the northern edge of an artificial lake and will be available as both an indoor and outdoor exhibition facility. The park is named after the co-founder of Durst, Luis Oberrauch, father of the present owner, Christof Oberrauch, who is President of the South Tyrolean Employersπ Association. Luis Oberrauch founded Durst Phototechnik AG in Brixen in 1936 together with the brothers Durst.

"As a company which is dedicated to the manufacture of production of systems for the reproduction of pictures or images," said Dr. Richard Piock, CEO of the Durst Group, "We also have to engage in the social aspects of visual communication.

Many Tyrolean artists, especially at the beginning of their career, neither have the financial opportunities nor the chance to exhibit their work to the general public. We offer them both, with the printing of their creative work in different ways and with the art park."
