NCS to distribute Durst Rho 600 Pictor and assist with sales of all other Rho machines

NCS has recently signed an agreement to distribute the new Rho Pictor compact UV flatbed in the UK. They will also provide sales assistance in the UK for the whole range of Rho large format inkjets.

“We have been making major inroads into the large format market for a couple of years and we see this move as an important step,” said Tony Newton, Sales Direct of NCS. “Durst has an excellent reputation for innovation and high quality machines, which fits in perfectly with our portfolio of products.”

“We are extremely committed to this venture and have invested heavily to support the sales operation,” continued Tony. “We have recruited Garry Brown, an ex Sales Director of Sun Chemicals to act as Sales Manger for this business and have committed to installing a demo unit, which we hope to have ready by the end of October.”

Dr Richard Piock, CEO of Durst Phototechnik, said: “We are very pleased to have agreed the arrangement NCS, who are the market leading systems integrator in the graphics arts industry, and believe the association will offer a benefit to our customers. It is also further evidence of our commitment to the UK market.”

NCS has already secured two orders for Rho Pictors and are confident that their knowledge and reputation in the market will encourage many more sales.

“We have the ambition to create a significant business out of large format inkjet printing and we see Durst as the cornerstone of this business,” commented Tony. “We are also able to provide value added elements such as workflow, internet e-procurement and we are the UK distributor of Humaneyes Lenticular software. In addition, NCS will provide servicing, inks and consumables from three locations throughout the UK.”

Rho 600 Pictor
The Pictor is the latest addition to the Rho Family of UV inkjet printers and is the world’s first low priced, industrial standard UV flatbed. It is a compact version of the Rho 600 and has many of the same features as its larger brother; these include Durst’s own proven Quadro® Array printhead technology, which provides the highest productivity with the finest image quality, and the ability to be upgraded with additional printing features such as white ink printing and selective varnish.
