Durst Rho 320R
Launched at Drupa last year, the Rho 320R UV inkjet printer has established a new quality standard for industrial roll to roll printing.
Precision components developed and perfected by Durst, such as the innovative Quadro® Array printhead technology and the new print carriage concept which includes a magnetic linear drive system, are important features of the Rho 320R. The unique and reliable white printing option, the light colour option and the enhanced user software with an integrated maintenance program further support this new quality standard.
An important feature in the overall print quality of the Rho 320R is the environmentally friendly, low odour Rho Roll Ink which offers a wide colour gamut
and high colour density. It enables economic printing of offset quality particularly for large format indoor applications. Demanding and profitable applications such as lightbox displays, illuminated posters, window graphics, POP displays and advertising textiles can be achieved with the Rho 320R in a previously unattainable quality.
The Rho 320R prints widths up to 320cm (10.5ft) on a wide range of coated and uncoated media at speeds up to 130m² per hour. Productivity is maximised by the ability to print two rolls side by side up to a width of 160cm each and a further option for perfectly registered doubled sided printing.

Durst Rho 700
The Rho 700 series of UV flatbed printers was also introduced last year and represent a new generation of modular, upgradeable flatbed printers which offer high productivity and even fine image quality.
The outstanding performance and reliability is the result of the precision of key components developed and produced by Durst. Key to the finest quality of print combined with the high output speed is Durst’s own advanced and perfected Quadro Array inkjet technology.
The modular build concept of the Rho 700 is unique in its class, no other UV flatbed printers can be adapted to individual needs to the same extent and many of the optional features can be used to upgrade the machine in the field at a later date. There is a choice of ink variety which includes white and special effect varnish, also light colours for finer image quality. There are specific inks for rigid, flexible or absorbing media, ensuring the most cost efficient ink choice.
Productivity is maximised by the use of mechanical front stops which enable parallel printing of boards side by side. Printing onto corrugated boards can also be automated. Furthermore, overall speed can be increased by doubling the number of Quadro Arrays from 4 to 8.
The wide choice of printing applications for the Rho 700 is further increased by its ability to print both roll and rigid media. There is a heavy roll option which will enable unattended printing. There are also special features for printing heavy and/or thick boards and there is a further option for printing onto corrugated boards.
The highly flexible nature of the Rho 700, combined with its reliability and productivity, provides the customer with a machine that will most benefit their business during these harshly competitive times.
